Current Officers


President - Alicia Hadash, RHIT
Alicia works as a clinical data specialist at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System. She graduated from Tacoma Community College's Health Information Technology program in 2004.

President Elect - Helen Conroy, RHIT

Past-President - Susan Ford, RHIT, CHP

Susan is employed by MultiCare Health System as a Quality Performance Coordinator. In this role, she abstracts clinical data for the acute care hospitals’ external reporting, and is a member of related quality improvement teams. She also has an extensive background in long-term care HIM, most recently at Tacoma Lutheran Home working as the Medical Records Supervisor and Privacy Officer. In June 2007, she completed a one-year term as WSHIMA Secretary. She is also a 2003 graduate of TCC’s HIT program. 


Treasurer - Nancy Stefonowicz, RHIT
Nancy graduated from Tacoma Community College's Health Information Technology program in 2004. She later joined Western State Hospital as a Compliance Technician for several years before taking a aerospace sabbatical. 

Secretary - Jane Burster, RHIT, CHP
Jane is a RHIT currently working as the HIM supervisor with Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard. The WVH is a 292 bed facility for veterans and spouses of veterans. She has worked in HIM for 35 years and regularly consults in the long-term care environment.

Membership Coordinator - Barbara Spurlock, RHIT
Barb works as an ROI specialist at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System as well as a part-time ED coder at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. She graduated from Tacoma Community College's Health Information Technology program in 2004.

Webmaster - Jonathan Eastabrooks, RHIA
Jonathan works as the Audit Contractor Program Liaison with Franciscan Health System. He manages the various recovery audit initiatives put forth by the government including the RACs, MICs, MACs, and ZPICs. He also teaches part-time at Tacoma Community College with the Medical Business Office Program. He graduated with high honors from Tacoma Community College's Health Information Technology program in 2004 and is a recent graduate from the University of Washington's Health Informatics and Health Information Management program in Seattle.
